At MaxHealth Pet Diet, we want your dog's food to arrive quickly, safely, and with as little fuss as possible. This policy explains where we deliver, how long it takes, what it costs, and what happens if something goes wrong along the way.
This policy applies to orders placed through our website, maxhealth.co.za. Products bought from independent stockists (vet clinics and pet shops) are handled by those stores under their own terms.
Where we deliver
We deliver nationwide across South Africa.
Some outlying or remote areas may take a little longer to reach, and in a small number of locations our courier may not be able to deliver to the door. If your address falls outside our courier's standard delivery network, we'll contact you to arrange an alternative or, if we can't, to refund you. We do not currently deliver outside South Africa (see "International orders" below).
How we ship
Orders are delivered by our courier partner, [COURIER PARTNER]. Deliveries take place on working days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays).
Order processing
Once you've placed and paid for your order, we usually pack and hand it to the courier within 1–2 working days. Orders placed over a weekend or public holiday are processed on the next working day.
Estimated delivery time
After dispatch, your order typically arrives within 2–4 working days, depending on your location. Remote and outlying areas may take longer.
These timeframes are estimates, not guarantees. We'll always do our best to get your order to you within them.
Shipping cost
We charge a flat shipping rate of approximately R199 per order [confirm]. [Free shipping on orders over R____. ]
All prices on our website are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. Your shipping cost is calculated and displayed at checkout before you pay, so there are no surprises.
Tracking your order
When your order is dispatched, we'll send you a confirmation by email [and/or SMS] with tracking details so you can follow your parcel's journey. If you haven't received tracking information within [2] working days of your order, please get in touch and we'll sort it out.
Failed delivery, incorrect address, or nobody home
Please double-check your delivery address and contact details at checkout — accurate information helps your order arrive on time.
- Nobody home: Our courier will usually attempt delivery and, if no one is available, will try again or contact you to rearrange. After repeated failed attempts, the parcel may be returned to us.
- Incorrect or incomplete address: If a delivery fails because the address you gave was wrong or incomplete, we may need to charge you the cost of re-delivery before sending it out again.
- Returned parcels: If an order comes back to us undelivered, we'll contact you to arrange re-delivery (additional shipping may apply) or a refund of the product cost. Because our food is a consumable product, the original shipping fee is not refundable in these cases.
Delays and events beyond our control
Sometimes things happen that neither we nor our courier can control — severe weather, load-shedding, road closures, strikes, or other disruptions. In these situations, delivery may take longer than estimated. We'll keep you informed and get your order to you as soon as we reasonably can. We can't be held liable for delays caused by events outside our control, but we will always help where we can.
Collecting from a stockist
If you'd prefer not to wait for a courier, you may be able to buy MaxHealth products directly from one of our independent stockists (vet clinics and pet shops). Stock, pricing, and availability vary by store and are set by each stockist. Find your nearest one on our [Stockists page] [optional].
International orders
We currently ship within South Africa only. We do not offer international delivery at this time.
